The WIZ 2016 Auditions
Well done to all Auditionees. It was a great few days of auditions and congratulations to all students who made the cast for this exciting show next year. The principles are as follows:

Combined Talent Quest
Well Done to "The Boys" Arona Clay, Michael Godfrey Kepa, levi Maki, Jordan Betham and the Man - Piri Masters for winning the recent Combined Talent Quest. This was a great event and congratulations to all acts who particpated. The win for the boys meant that they were able to keep the great Combined Talent Quest Trophy here at school for another year.
SUPER 8 CULTURAL FESTIVAL
The Super 8 Cultural Festival was a complete success for our school.
Firstly congrats to our KAPA HAKA teams who came first and second place.
Our Music group "Instrumentally Unstable" was great as well and came 2nd equal. They were impressive with their percussion and bass quintet. Well done also to our soloists Te Tauhu Kingi who came in 3rd place in the senior solo and Manaia Smith who came in 3rd place in the junior solo.

Well done to all boys who competed in Pacifika Beats regionals 2015.
We had 3 bands entered. "Maui" our senior group featuring Te Hakaraia Wilson, Arapeta Paea and Tahu Kingi. These guys took out 2nd place overall and Tahu gained best musician award and was eligible for the scholarship. "Kirikino Clan" our year 10 band who took out Best Song award which was awesome. "Ryze" our year 11 band also performed really well.

RBHS made a great entry into the Regional Stage Challenge this year. The theme of the stage Challenge was the pride and brotherhood of Raukura and the journey through our school. This Stage Challnege was very ably led by Rangitautini Williams with support by his brother Wiremu Williams , Arapeta Paea and Tama Potaka. This Stage Challenge was definitely a highlight for Performing Arts in 2015.
